The host-id of a SGI IRIX workstation is a unique number that identifies the computer. This ID is based on the internet IP address of the computer, and it is therefore essential that the IP address is not changed after a license is issued.

To determine the host-id:

• Open a shell window on the desktop. This can usually be done from the menu on the desktop. Choose Desktop and Unix Shell.
• In the window, write hostid and press enter. The output is the host-id (See example to the right).
• From this output copy the host-id (0xa006486) to your order to Anamedic.
