CytoTrack
was a small technology focused startup when I joined them in 2007. I was
employed to assist in developing a professional business plan and to
market this business plan to international investor. During the summer of
2007 I rewrote the business plan completely from scratch and helped the
technology focused founders develop a more compelling story to investors.
The
company has developed a technology that is able to detect rare cells in
blood. The primary application of the technology is in detection of
circulating tumor cells, where it can be used to monitor cancer patients
undergoing chemotherapy.
At
the end of 2007, the company secured the second place in the European
Venture Contest, a pan-European competition for startup companies. In
2007 it had 576 participants from 19 countries, of which 99 went to the
semifinals and 17 made it to the final in Barcelona. I represented the company through
the competition and received the prize in Barcelona.
