The time that I spent at the Technical University of
Denmark was a very formative period of my life.
It was interrupted in 1987 when I went to work for Erik
Mainz A/S as a software developer.
I also started my own company doing computer related
consulting services for small businesses. This tradition was later
continued in Anamedic, a company that sells
software developed during my Ph.D.
In addition, I spent the last three years before my thesis
work working more than 25 hours a week over the full year for IBM
Denmark A/S.
My thesis was in the area
of digital image processing. I worked hard and achieved the top-grade 13
for my project.
And finally, as is usual in university, I had a lot of
fun.
After graduating, I went to Japan
to work for Toshiba.
